Artist Statement

I am an installation artist whose interests lie in the act between physically looking and internet searching. I express my findings using both traditional and digital mediums. I facilitate art workshops and deliver art appreciation lectures. I am a qualified teacher and lecturer with QTLS status.

2018.        Joint Exhibition Curator for Wholesale Memory with/for Friction Arts at the Library of Birmingham.

2015-17   Community Heritage Worker and PM. MADE (Birmingham). ‘Everybody’s Story’, a Heritage Lottery funded project about Chance Glass Works Smethwick. Workshop delivery at Holly Lodge School and Level 2 and 3 Module creation and delivery for Bournville College. Working in conjunction with Smethwick Archives.

2007-9    Student Support Worker (Unitemps) BCU Bournville. Video & sound editing support.

2007-9    Art Workshop Tutor. Pocklington Trust, Northfield: Art workshops with partially sighted people.

2008-9   Technician: Model making based on an eco friendly science park using the drawings of a partially sighted artist. Display for and hang of relevant 2D Drawings for degree show. (2ndSemester)

2007       IPS Space. (5 Day Internship) Worked with Andrew Hunt in preparation for David Osbaldeston. Prepared mailshots, dismantled and removed false walls, painting and making good.

2007       Reality Estate (Friction Arts) Steward; facilitation of 3 consecutive live performances as part of a group of 12 stewards.
