Mr Spaghetti is quite the personality, drinking beer one handed and looking odd but strangely contended. Umberto Boccioni is an Italian futurist sculptor and painter famous for creating Unique Forms of Continuity in Space, 1913 and the painting is merely a nod towards futurist ideas.

The capture of movement here is more about the pursuit of leisure and fun rather than dynamism and force of movement, the figures stillness is at odds with futurist ideals which are hopefully just a shadow of the past.
